"What does it cost to advertise with Mantis?"
The simple answer: "It depends."
Because Mantis is a real-time bidding (RTB) platform, vCPM and CPC rates fluctuate every second based on inventory availability/demand. We set the base rate for each platform, but the average winning bid often exceeds this base rate, especially for geo-targeted campaigns.
Existing Mantis advertisers can view the current base rates for any specific ad platform by logging in to the Mantis dashboard and creating a new campaign on the Campaigns tab (as shown below).
There are a large number of factors that influence the final cost of your advertising campaigns on the Mantis platform, including:
- Campaign type (e.g., display, content, or video ads)
- Ad rotation (e.g., vCPM, CPC, or both)
- Max vs. actual winning bids (i.e., what it takes to win bids on the network)
- Targeting requirements (e.g., geo-targeting adds cost)
Initial account setup is free, although Mantis does have a minimum network ad spend requirement for first-time advertisers. There are no signup fees or hidden costs.
You only pay for results
The truth is over half of the ad impressions served on the internet are not tracked as viewed, resulting in 50% or more of ad budgets going to waste. That’s why Mantis only charges its advertisers for guaranteed viewable impressions and valid clicks.
For example, advertisers opting to run display ads on the Mantis vCPM rotation (recommended) will only be charged the vCPM bid rate when their advertisements are tracked as being viewed for longer than one second.
Additionally, advertisers running a display campaign on the cost per click (CPC) rotation will only be billed when an ad is clicked and a visitor is successfully sent to the advertiser's website.
